Tahoe Software Productions, Inc. was started in Truckee, California, near Lake Tahoe, by former Disney entertainment software producer Stephan Butler. [1] It went under after trying to grow too fast and losing a major publisher (Virgin). [2] Ex-employees started a new company called Clearwater Software.
