Tahoe Software Productions, Inc. was founded in 1992 [1] in Truckee, California, by former Disney entertainment software producer Stephan L. Butler. [2] It went under after trying to grow too fast and losing a major publisher (Virgin). [3] Ex-employees started a new company called Clearwater Software.
