aka Psygnosis Stroud, Psygnosis South West

The Wheelhaus was one of Psygnosis' satellite studios, located in The Wheelhouse at Bond's Mill in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, England. (Stonehouse is a town located near the town of Stroud in the Stroud district of Gloucestershire in southwest England.) The original staff consisted of former members of Microprose UK including Simon Gardner [1], who appears to have run the studio for most of its existence. Head programmer Neil Duffield was put in charge during its final months of operation. [2] After it was shut down [3], Acclaim created a new studio called Acclaim Studios Stroud with the ex-Psygnosis staff. [4] (One media outlet at the time reported that Acclaim bought the Stroud studio from Psygnosis. [5]) Acclaim Studios Stroud may have become Acclaim Studios Cheltenham.
