Communicate, Inc., a company that developed some computer games and music sequencer software, and TRY (pronounced alphabetically) Corporation, a company that mostly developed Famicom/NES games, merged in April 1987 to form Sonata. [1] At some point, Sonata was renamed Human (ヒューマン株式会社) and got into the publishing business. (The first Human-published game was 1989's Fire Pro Wrestling: Combination Tag for the PC Engine.)
By the early 1990s, Human had become a relatively important publisher in Japan and remained so until it went bankrupt in November 1999. [2] The company also ran a game development school called Human Creative School.
