'''GRC''' (aka Graphic Research; グラフィックリサーチ) was established on June 8, 1984 and no longer appears to be in business.

'''Graphic Research Co., Ltd.''' (グラフィックリサーチ株式会社; also went by GRC for short) was established in May 1982, incorporated on June 8, 1984 [http://web.archive.org/web/20030517174023/http://www.grarisa.co.jp/gaiyou.html], and went bankrupt on June 28, 2005. [http://www.seikei.jp/fuwa200506.htm] Yoshiaki Sawada (澤田芳明) was the president. [http://web.archive.org/web/20030517174023/http://www.grarisa.co.jp/gaiyou.html] (Sawada was previously director of Nichibutsu Leisure System. [http://flyers.arcade-museum.com/?page=flyer&db=videodb&id=3508&image=18])

It seems much of GRC's early sound team (referred to in numerous games as "Team Hyakumangoku" - presumably named after GRC programmer Yasuyuki "Hyakumangoku" Hamada) left to form game music studio [http://web.archive.org/web/20010713141818/http://www.parkcity.ne.jp/~cliche/ Studio Cliche].

[[Seekz]] (株式会社シークス) was a mobile game development company started by former staff on July 11, 2003. [http://web.archive.org/web/20100105034701/http://www.seekz.co.jp/company/company.php]  It was headed by former GRC senior managing director [http://web.archive.org/web/20030517174023/http://www.grarisa.co.jp/gaiyou.html] Yasushi Mizutani (水谷靖志). Due to the lack of credits or the ability to look at game code, we are unsure of the extent of GRC's involvement in many of its later games. We do not trust [http://web.archive.org/web/20030324143144/http://www.grarisa.co.jp/ an old version of the GRC website], which lists the company's more recent games. For example, the site mentions ''Monster Rancher Advance'' (GBA) and says GRC was involved in planning, programming, graphics, and sound. However, [http://www.mobygames.com/game/gameboy-advance/monster-rancher-advance/credits looking at the credits], we can't seem to find a single GRC staffer.

We have added these games to the list below anyway, but they, along with any other games we are unsure about, have been colored red to indicate their uncertain status.
