Started in June 1990 [https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.sun-denshi.co.jp/sundenshi/outline/his-j.htm], the Osaka branch of Sunsoft mostly worked on games for the western market during a period when Sunsoft in Japan had otherwise ceased to do so.

It was closed down in 1994 but programmer Michio Okasaka (岡坂道夫) formed the independent [[Santaclaus]] in its place, contracting with Sunsoft for a number of years afterwards.
