Zip Technologies was a company started by former employees of McT, which had made the SpeedDemon accelerator for the Apple II. Zip made the Zip Chip Apple II accelerator while another company started by former McT employees, Bits and Pieces, made the Rocket Chip. Zip successfully sued Bits and Pieces for patent infringement and consequently forced that company out of business. [1]
