Satoshi Fujishima, formerly of Compile, talked about Programmers-3 on Twitter: [1]

  • Visited Programmers-3 in Tokyo
  • Saw A.E. "before the continuous explosion," and saw the SMC-777 before it was released
  • Thinks Programmers-3 was acquired by SystemSoft and became SystemSoft Programmers-3 Division
  • E.I. was not licensed from Programmers-3; it was completely original.
  • "I'm asking a certain person who is at 'SystemSoft Beta' now about the background of Programmers 3 and what happened later, but I wonder if there is no one who understands..."
  • Confirms with person: Programmers-3 is Horai, Nagawa, and Kojima.
  • They (?) were in the Tokyo development office after being absorbed by SystemSoft.
  • "The company seems to have been in Chitosekarasuyama, Tokyo. But I don't know if that's what I've been to. It was said that it became independent before SystemSoft was acquired by SystemSoft Alpha. I'm not sure right now."

"Onitama" of Onion Software: [2]

"I miss Programmers-3...I also visited when A.E. came out. I remember being surprised at the size of Sega's in-house graphic tool (Digitizer System) for some reason."

(Did Programmers-3 have a Digitizer System?)
