Established in 1989 [1], Opera House was based in Naka-Meguro, Tokyo and operated by Satoru Miki and Hiroyuki Fujiwara [2], who previously programmed games together for Pony Canyon.

The fate of the company is unknown, but it appears that Miki went on to work for Gram Design [3] and Fujiwara went on to work for Nintendo. [4]

CRV's Theory of Opera House Development

My theory is simple: If game music guru Hitoshi Sakimoto worked on it and it was published by Pony Canyon or produced by ISCO, then it was probably programmed by Opera House. It seems to have held true thus far.

The following are the most likely candidates. However, credits are not available, so I cannot confirm these at this time. CRV 20:28, 14 January 2007 (CST)

  • Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Dragons of Flame (PC-9801)
  • Death Knight of Krynn (PC-9801)
  • Crude Buster / Two Crude Dudes (Mega Drive/Genesis)
  • Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Champions of Krynn (PC-9801)
  • Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Eye of the Beholder (PC-9801)
  • F1GP (3DO)
  • My Best Friends: St. Andrew Jogakuin Hen (Saturn)
