Nexa was formed by Gilman Louie and a few college friends [1] around 1982. In early 1987 [2], it merged with Spectrum Holobyte to form Sphere (games continued to be marketed under the Spectrum Holobyte name). [3]
Louie's previous company was Voyager Software. [4]
