Not much is known about '''Hertz''' (ヘルツ) as a company, but it is probably best known for the MSX2 game ''Psycho World'', which was later brought to the Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear by [[Sanritsu/SIMS]] (as ''Psychic World'').

Looking at the game list below, it appears Hertz had some sort of deal with Sanritsu/SIMS (the SMS/GG ports of ''Psycho World'' were likely part of that).

Thanks to the person or persons at 2ch who said [http://game13.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/gsaloon/1163933211/297 ''Out Run 2019'' was by Hertz] and pointed out [http://game13.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/gsaloon/1163933211/299 the Hertz logo at the starting point in MD ''Out Run''] (you can see it for yourself below and to your right). Someone there also mentioned that [http://game13.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/gsaloon/1163933211/304-305 Hertz became Fill in Cafe or Hertz subcontracted to Fill in Cafe], depending on how you want to read into the comment. It does look like one programmer went on to work at Fill in Cafe and two (presumably freelance) composers who worked on Hertz games went on to do music for a number of Fill in Cafe games. But we see little else connecting the two.
