Developer Resources was founded by Kevin Seghetti and Scott Statton with financial assistance from Erik Anderson in February 1991 (while Seghetti was working on Rampart for the Master System). The main purpose of the company was to create game development systems for use with the Mega Drive/Genesis and Super Famicom/Super NES. [1]
