Bits Lab was formed by a group of former freelancers in the game industry. They were first known as Workss, judging by NES Ghostbusters, where the name of the developer was changed to Bits Laboratory between the Japanese and American releases. Some of the main staff have been Toshio Tabeta, Satoru Miyazaki, Junichi Takao and Masashi "Masas" Shimizu.
