BeXide Inc. (株式会社ビサイド) is a development company based in Tachikawa, Tokyo. [1] It is best known for the PlayStation game Doko Demo Issyo and subsequent games starring Toro Inoue, an anthropomorphized cat that would come to be PlayStation's mascot in Japan. More recently, the company has been involved in support work for other studios.
BeXide was established on February 1, 1999, as Bomber eXpress Co., Ltd. (有限会社ボンバーエクスプレス) [2] The name was changed to BeXide in April 2003. [3] Kazunori Nanji (南治一徳) is the president; he and several other early employees once worked for KAZe. [4]
