Double Diamond Sports (Double Diamond Software, Inc.) was co-founded by programmer Mark Lesser and EA Sports' Michael Brook. It was originally incorporated on May 14, 1993, as InPlay Productions, Inc. and went by the name InPlay Sports. The name was changed on May 25, 1994. Most of the personnel moved on to Spectacular Games except for Lesser, who had his own company called MBL Research. [1]
