'''Kyugo Boueki''' (九娯貿易) was founded in 1965. They started making arcade games published by Sega, then went on to make and publish games for the Famicom. On 1998-01-05, the company applied for reconstruction, and probably went bankrupt. Judging by the old company name, Kyugo was in the amusement machine business from the beginning, and to the bitter end. A sister company, '''Kyugo''' (キュウゴ), designed and manufactured amusement machines. They also had an American subsidiary, '''Kyugo of America'''.

Crux was started in 1984 by Orca's software team (which included popular Toaplan programmer and composer Tatsuya Uemura) after that company went bankrupt and was thrown out of its building. After doing Gyrodine, Crux ran into financial difficulties and would eventually go bankrupt as well. With such uncertainty, the chief programmer on Gyrodine and two others left for Toa Kikaku and started a software division (which became Toaplan). Uemura was invited over, but did not leave until after he finished working on Repulse.

It is not known what finally happened to Crux, and Uemura does not specify on his homepage when exactly it went bankrupt. But it is clear that the remaining team worked on the other games listed below. Was this still Crux? Did Crux crawl out of bankruptcy? Did this team regroup as a new company?
