This game developer was founded in the late 1970s under the name of Hoei. They changed their name to Coreland in 1982 and created several arcade games for companies such as Sega and Data East. In 1989, Coreland became a subsidiary of Bandai and was renamed Banpresto. Their focus shifted much more to console game development particularly games based on anime.
