CetaSoft was a development company originally based in Oceanside, California, later relocating to Vista, California. It was founded in 1993 as a consulting firm by Jack Thornton. It was then incorporated as Level Five, Inc. (dba CetaSoft) on October 3, 1995. [1]

Prior to starting CetaSoft, Thornton was the VP of Technology at Park Place Productions. [2] Before that, he co-founded SofTalent.
