Bear's logo

Bear's Inc. (有限会社ベアーズ) was established in Tokyo in 1983 by Akihito Abe (安部彰人) [1], a former section chief at Data East. [2]

Bear's would tie up with Shouei System, which was in the same office building. Abe left in 1987 to start a company in Hokkaido and handed Bear's over to Shouei's president (Hirotoshi Tokuyama). It is unknown what happened to Bear's after that. [3] [4] [5]

After Bear's went away, Shouei System would subcontract development to companies like Copya System and Office Koukan.
