Studio Alex (有限会社スタジオアレックス) was a small company established circa 1990 by writer and game designer Kazunari Tomi (富一成), who had previously worked at Xtalsoft and Nihon Falcom.

Following a protracted legal battle with Game Arts regarding rights to the Lunar franchise and the production of Mahou Gakuen Lunar!, the company was bankrupted in 2003 after the case was decided in favor of Game Arts. Since then, Tomi is reportedly working at animation studio Gainax as a producer.
