Sanritsu Denki Co., Ltd. (サンリツ電気株式会社) was a Japanese electronics company established in December 1973. It manufactured communications equipment and vending machines before expanding into amusement machines in February 1977. [1] After having spent the better part of the 1980s making original arcade video games, the company focused on publishing and developing home games, including many done under contract with Sega.

Mamoru Shigeta (重田守), formerly of Irem and Jaleco [2], was president of Sanritsu from April 1989 until May 1991, then formed a company with Sega called SIMS in June 1991. He was replaced by Sanritsu founder and chairman Masao Akutsu (阿久津昌雄). (Game Machine 1991/8/15, pg. 7)

Sanritsu was later involved in ship radio manufacturing, selling remote monitoring systems, and electrical safety management. [3] The company survived into the new millennium and for several years had a website.

A.I and S-Plan were started by former Sanritsu staff.
