-------------------------------- What inspired you to make Wurm? -------------------------------- I was inspired by Edgar Rice Burroughs' the MARS series which began with "A PRINCESS OF MARS" and the Pellucidar series which began with "AT THE EARTH'S CORE". I was also influenced by Shotaro Ishinomori's "CYBORG 009; THE CYBORG SOLDIER" which is ultra famous Japanese old legend comics, moreover to say, influenced by the "Chitei-Teikoku: Yomi (Underworld Empire: Pluto)" episode of 009's. Also was I influenced by Irwin Allen's TV-drama "LOST IN SPACE". In the drama of WURM, the origin of G-13 is ROBOT and the origin of MIKE is Dr. Z. SMITH. Moreover, G-13 robot's name comes from my game work "TOP SECRET: GOLGO13". ------------------------------------- Was Wurm based on an anime or manga? ------------------------------------- Wurm is made the perfect original story & characters of mine, but VZR tank's draft set-up was made by Mr. Kazama at first. When I met his draft set-up, I was absorbed in the underworld. However I confused about his draft set-up & pre-story, because it was too undecided for anyone to make & understand. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Did any anime or manga characters inspire Moby? She looks a little like Time Gal. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't know that, because my drawing touch is influenced by various Japanese anime & manga characters, I think. After all, Time Gal's touch also looks like Minmei of MACROSS and so on, doesn't it? ------------------------------------------------ Did you draw the art for the game and the cover? ------------------------------------------------ The package design of the Japanese version WURM is illustrated by Minami Matsuda, who is a minor & a bit of famous manga artist, though I've not met him & his works even once. Firstly, there was my original game-character design. When WURM was released, only MOBY of the package was re-designed. ... there are many secret game-industry reasons!(LAUGHING OUT LOUD ------------------------------------------------------------- Do you have any original art of Moby or the other characters? ------------------------------------------------------------- This is a nervous problem: The copyrights of WURM as the past NES game only belongs to ASMIC & SOFEL as the dealers, but there is no copyrights for their company to remake WURM, because they've only bought the dealer's right of the past NES game. The copyrights of the package design of WURM as the past NES game belongs to Minami Matsuda, but he can't re-design any more. Cyclone System by which WURM was made also has no copyrights, because this company has gone bankrupt about (golgo) 13 years ago. Of course, Mr. Kazama can't have the copyrights of WURM, because he was a draft planner only. ------------------------------------------------------ Where is the copyrights of WURM including the re-make? ------------------------------------------------------ Considering these circumstances, The copyrights of WURM including the possibility of re-making it, belongs to me. Because I alone made the game-character design & screenplay of the original WURM world and I've declared my copyrights of WURM by releasing my homepage (http://www.interq.or.jp/mars/lucky3/) ahead for all of the world based on Japan. In short, WURM is my original work! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The end of the game does not show what Moby does after the Princess talks. Did you plan to continue the story? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Firstly, the ROM-capacity of WURM, you know, was 1Mbit+1Mbit(sob. It is difficult that lack of my explanation of the Nah Ending will make you & all people lead to solve all the problems. The stone statue which SOWNE the princess comes out from, has belonged to GAIA kingdom. The ruins of GAIA kingdom is the 2nd stage of 'Enter the monster ANLOCK'. In other words, It is true that Dinamur kingdom was a statue thief.(LAUGHING OUT LOUD After all, all that I wanted to explain on this story of WURM is .... "The BATTLE FOR AWAKENING" that we the globalian should escape from the old consciousness of typical Nah World War II to the new type of consciousness, for example, like this very INTERNET SHARED COMMUNICATION! And yet... it is too far for us to awake. It does means not "forced religion" but "prayer to the far future" of mine. --------------------------------------------------------- Were there any ideas for Wurm that you could not include? --------------------------------------------------------- As telling truly about the character set-up of WURM, Sylvia is a secret lover of Dr. Banda (as Moby's father). And Allan has been Moby's lover before Ziggy, moreover to say, Allan is also now a secret lover of Sylvia. In short, the human relations of each character's backside have been a delicate set-up in the planning book made by Nao Kuramoto as my alter ego. Because of the ROM's capacity & my circumstances of time, I've wanted to insert several dialogues & scenarios in vain. There are too many cases of this question to enumerate. --------------------------------------- Was the game going to have more levels? --------------------------------------- "ACT" of WURM is 5, but even the ending of the Japanese original work was cut, because of the ROM capacity. ------------------------------------------------------------------- When did you start making Wurm?
