Hiya folks! I am KungFuFurby and you are looking at my contribute list for SNES/SFC games (my staff roll lists are in the Credits dump). No developers that I have found staff rolls for were confirmed here yet, execpt for Gan Gan Ganchan, which I thought was Team Mental Care (see programming and art).

Based on staff rolls for Super Gussun Oyoyo 1 and 2 from http://www7.tok2.com/home/bgr/sfc/supergussun/sgusoyoyo.html and http://www7.tok2.com/home/bgr/sfc/supergussun2/sgussunoyoyo2.html, I'm assuming the developer is Banpre Planning by using the Shared Credits method.

Gussun 2 was definately BanpreKikaku (have met one of the staff)--mukimuki@RS 09:09, 30 May 2009 (CDT)

The following games might have Banpre Planning as a developer as well, based on composer info from SNESMusic.org and/or GMCL (They can be confirmed via code comparisons, as I have yet to find the staff rolls for any of these games, execpt for Logos Panic which I did not record yet. All have Kenji Yamazaki as a composer.):

Dear Boys
Logos Panic
Super Pachinko Taisen
Shinri Game 2 - Magical Trip
Super Drift Out

Offical website for Banpresoft (they were Banpre Planning from 1994-1997): http://www.banpresoft.co.jp/ KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)

Going by their corporate history, Banpre Kikaku didn't have internal development until April of 1998. It's possible that there may have been development staff at Banpresto since they were previously Coreland, but we've yet to find anything particularly solid for this.
banpresoft had development staff from '94 (can't recall, but have a feeling many were ex-Irem, but cannot recall details now. I think it boiled down to Irem pulling out of game development in 94 and Banpresto/Bndai hiring the stuio).--mukimuki@RS 09:09, 30 May 2009 (CDT)
Got a question: Do you know if Rocksam was part of the staff at Irem or BanpreSoft/Banpre Kikaku? I might be on to something... because his name has popped up on Dear Boys, Appleseed, and both of the Super Gussun Oyoyo games. In addition, they share a "list" of some sort... via the ROM text with Logos Panic, Super Pachinko Taisen and Shinri Game 2 - Magical Trip. Super Drift Out seems to be out of the question here, as the staff roll is not shared with the other games, execpt for sound, and the "list" present in the other games is not present here, although the staff roll is viewable via ROM text. KungFuFurby 11:02, 30 May 2009 (CDT)
Might this Irem connection explain Super Gussun Oyoyo and Super Gussun Oyoyo 2? The team that did Go Go Ackman and Great Battle Gaiden 2 looks different from the team that did Appleseed, etc. CRV 06:09, 31 May 2009 (CDT)
Also, Kenji Yamasaki shows up on a lot of stuff, including FC Yanchamaru 3 (by Micronics) and MD Superman (by one of our unknowns) --Dimitri 17:10, 21 June 2008 (CDT)

I see... I might have also thought of Irem as well as a possible developer. However, neither seems certain at the moment... I found FC games that had Irem as the publisher that had Kenji Yamazaki as the composer. --KungFuFurby 21:41, 21 June 2008 (CDT)

There might be something similar as far as VS. Collection goes to either Zig Zag Cat, Gan Gan Ganchan, or VS. Collection. Pure sound was involved in all three, and they have an offical work list. All of these are at the very least under Sound... sorry, I took the company name as a reference. For Sugoroku Ginga Senki, Pure Sound was listed under Sound in the staff roll. KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)

I had assumed that TOSE was a developer for Big Run. There is ROM text that kinda jumbles me... and it's in ASCII! The ROM text is "KiyaAkiko!". What does that mean? KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)

Sounds like a name to me, "Akiko Kiya". Who I can't find anything else on. --Dimitri 16:43, 23 June 2008 (CDT)

OK. KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)

Requesting sound driver comparsion to any of these games on the Script700 page:

Fune Tarou

Reason: When I dumped a SPC of the file, I got a first-note sticking problem. Therefore, I'm curious if it is fixable. KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)

Developer for Cyber Knight for the SFC on VGRebirth is Group SNE... so is Cyber Knight II for the SFC. This is from VGRebirth. KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)

And that information was probably entered by crv. They're a tabletop game company, IIRC.
I Believe Team SNE were merely the planners/game designers here. Am unsure as to who developed.--mukimuki@RS 09:09, 30 May 2009 (CDT)

Anjar has an actual mention on American Battle Dome for the SFC at the title screen... could they possibly be the developer? I found no staff roll in the game. KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)

http://www.anjar.com/products/battledome.htm
A little googling does wonders -- they made the toy it's based on. :) --Dimitri 15:49, 29 June 2008 (CDT)

That might explain why it's called American Battle Dome, not simply Battle Dome. It was released in Japan only! --KungFuFurby 11:09, 30 June 2008 (CDT)

Contribute List

Support developers found:

T's Music

Coron Land (JP Publisher: Yumedia (Aroma)) (ROM text said "SQ(1.20)by T's Tomo")
GeGeGe no Kitaro: Fukkatsu!! Tenma Daiou (JP Publisher: Bandai) (Tomoyuki Hamada is in the staff roll under Sound.)
Doraemon 3: Nobita to Toki no Hougyoku (JP Publisher: Epoch) (Based off of the composer info from SNESMusic.org, which came up as Tomoyuki Hamada.)
Hi no Ouji: Yamato Takeru (JP Publisher: Toho) (ROM text said "SQ(1.23)by T's")

Beat Maniac

Metal Slader Glory: Director's Cut (JP Publisher: Nintendo) (Beat Maniac Inc. is under Takane Ohkubo's name in the staff roll. I had a staff roll from a Japanese Staff Roll website, but I since lost it... it was at http://www7.tok2.com/home/bgr/sfc/msgdc/msgdc.html.)
Wrecking Crew '98 (JP Publisher: Nintendo) (This one was under simple assumption. Takane Ohkubo's name was in the staff roll under Sound.)
Bakutou Dodgers (JP Publisher: BPS) (Beat Maniac is listed under Sound in the staff roll. I assumed Takane Ohkubo thanks to what I found in Metal Slader Glory: Director's Cut.)

Krisalis

The Adventures of Mighty Max (US Publisher: Ocean) (VGMuseum has the staff roll. Krisalis is listed under Sound.)

Pure Sound

See their work list for all of the games they have done. I assumed sound based off of the company name, and so far I'm pretty much correct... Pure Sound was listed under Sound in Sugoroku Ginga Senki, and in three of the staff rolls above via either acutal mention or shared credits.

Developers found:

Plex

Ruin Arm (JP Publisher: Bandai) (Actual mention on Title Screen. I was eventually convinced by other websites reporting Plex as the developer...) Support developer?: TOSE
Shounin yo Taishi o Idake!! (JP Publisher: Bandai) (Actual mention on Title Screen.)

How do you know Tose worked on Ruin Arm? And how do you know Plex isn't something else? CRV 07:41, 1 July 2008 (CDT)
Kouryuu Densetsu Villgust Gaiden (FC, dev'd by Tose) and Kouryuu Densetsu Villgust: Kieta Shoujo (SFC, dev'd by Winky Soft) both have a Plex copyright. CRV 04:31, 2 July 2008 (CDT)

Uh oh, that can't be good... sometimes it's best to find a staff roll first.

Ocean

Cool World (US Publisher: Ocean) (Chris Kerry was in the staff roll under Coding, and based on the shared credits method using MobyGames, I assumed Ocean was the developer.)

Gangoo

Metal Slader Glory: Director's Cut (JP Publisher: Nintendo) (Gangoo Inc. is under the programmer's name... I forget who, because I lost the staff roll that was here. I left HAL Labatory on there because I wasn't sure to what extent HAL did for development.)

Staff roll here. CRV 07:41, 1 July 2008 (CDT)
Sunsoft

Moomin no Daibouken (JP/EU Publisher: Sunsoft) (Sunsoft is listed under Game Design & Development in the staff roll.)

Two people on the staff are associated with GDRI-003. Doesn't matter what the credits say, at least right now. CRV 07:41, 1 July 2008 (CDT)
Team Mental Care

Gan Gan Ganchan (JP Publisher: Magifact) (Acutal mention in staff roll above...)
Bastard!!: Ankoku no Hakaishin (JP Publisher: Cobra Team) (Acutal mention in the staff roll in VGMuseum under Program.)

Wave

Mystery Circle (JP Publisher: KAC) (Wave had an actual mention here under Game Development. The credits were translated at ROMHacking.net.)
Ashita no Joe (JP Publisher: KAC) (Wave had an actual mention here.)

We have an entry for Wave. CRV 07:41, 1 July 2008 (CDT)

I think Dear Boys, Logos Panic, Super Pachinko Taisen, Shinri Game 2: Magical Trip, Super Gussun Oyoyo 1 and 2, and Appleseed are probably by the same developer. The ROMs contain long lists of files. Probably not Banpre Kikaku, though. CRV 07:41, 1 July 2008 (CDT)
Shinri Game 2 has something on the box art that's got me curious... something that says elfin is on the front of the box. Here's an image of it, and one that I found on eBay (I saved a copy of the one from eBay.) KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT).

I think Hi no Ouji: Yamato Takeru and Coron Land may have the same developer... just before the ROM text that has the acutal mention for T's Music, Yamato Takeru has "DB(1.81)" and Coron Land has "DB(1.20)" for ROM text. To make things more intresting, Doraemon 3, in addition to having Tomoyuki Hamada as a composer, has this for ROM text: "DB(1.81) SQ(1.23)by AIM". Dark Half also has this case, with "DB(1.8) SQ(1.23)by " This is intresting stuff... however, Doraemon 3 has AIM as a developer, and Dark Half has Westone as a developer. The other two, Yamato Takeru and Coron Land, only have support developers confirmed, both T's Music. KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)

There's an e-mail address in the Beat Maniac Page if you want to contact Takane Ohkubo. Simply click Coporate Information and presto, there's an e-mail address. My curiosities are when Beat Maniac was founded, and what SFC games the company worked on sound-wise... KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)

I've got an idea for attempting to find the developer for those games that had Kenji Yamazaki doing the music... why not look up this page, which contains his e-mail address if you want to contact him, and try to figure this out? No, Kamomellia was not involved... they weren't around before 1999. KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)

Yeah, we found that page a while ago. Just sent an e-mail. Now to wait... CRV 07:16, 11 August 2008 (CDT)

OK, good luck! ^_^ - KungFuFurby

Got a reply. Sorry, he doesn't know. CRV 23:49, 12 August 2008 (CDT)

Perhaps he knows about Yoshikazu Yao, maybe the company he/she worked at? That would put us one step closer to a developer... KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)
Maybe an interview with him, perhaps?

Yamazaki basically just told me that Yao was the producer, programmer, and sound programmer. CRV 07:58, 31 August 2008 (CDT)

Maybe you should ask Yamazaki if he knows about either Banpre Kikaku (now Banpresoft) or Irem... KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)

In other news: The developer for Shin Togenkyo might be on the Title Screen. Look at the second name on the Title screen. The name ばンプレ企画 is Banpre Kikaku... the first name might also have a hint. KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)

We got another developer! Zakuro no Aji has an actual reference to the developer name. Where did I find this? Here.

It says "Production, Planning: Imagineer." Probably not the developer. CRV 23:48, 8 October 2008 (CDT)

Thanks... Production, eh? Well, now I know what those mean... KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)

What the!? I just investigated Saibara Rieko no Mahjong Hourouki and found ROM text... it's in Japanese, although romanized. The text is... KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)

MAENOBAKA SINE!!
KUSOYAROU TEMEE
KICHIGAI KOROS

This has me baffled...

Haha, this was just sitting somewhere in the ROM? That's hilarious. In bad-anime-translation-speak, it says: "Die, idiot! You bastard! Killing madness!"--Dimitri 14:40, 14 October 2008 (CDT)

You're kidding! You mean these Japanese people had the guts to put that text there in Romanji? That was suprising... well, someone must have been mad. KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT)
Here's another SFC racing game for you to check out: Kamen Rider SD: Shutsugeki!! Rider Machine. Contains this text string:

*H-Sound Driver Ver0.5]*        Copyright (C)1992 T.Hagiwara    Copyright (C)1992 SOL Co.,LTD

CRV 08:05, 14 October 2008 (CDT)
We're going to have a problem... these SOL games usually don't have a staff roll. I already ran into a game without a staff roll once... it was Janyuuki Gokuu Randa. The Title Screen could contain a hint...
I'll see if I can grab a staff roll on the hardest mode... normal mode was a no-go. If I can't then it's a no-go... KungFuFurby 07:15, 25 October 2008 (CDT) "T.Hagiwara" might be "Tsutomu Hagiwara (萩原 務)" who was the Genki Mobile president before. --Ita 12:17, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

Another game you can look into...Serizawa Nobuo no Birdie Try / Mecarobot Golf (SFC/SNES). SNESmusic.org has composers listed, so there must be credits.

And remember to sign your comments with:
~~~~
CRV 02:13, 25 October 2008 (CDT)
Someone did that already... but that's great! I had already beaten the game myself. KungFuFurby 07:16, 25 October 2008 (CDT)
Thanks to the mysterious person who put up the credits. Obviously someone else is reading this. CRV 07:55, 25 October 2008 (CDT)
Looks like we have anoyomous contribuitors as well... that's nice. ^_^
By the way, I had beaten Hokuto no Ken 5... I'll return to the staff roll and post it... KungFuFurby 08:13, 25 October 2008 (CDT)
By "this," I meant this very user page. Anyway, I could really use some credits from SFC Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu (again, SNESmusic.org has composers listed), but I don't expect anyone to play through an RPG to get them. CRV 00:44, 26 October 2008 (CDT)
Here's the problem: Some RPGs don't have walkthroughs at GameFAQs.com. That's not good. Yamato Takeru, an RPG, had no staff roll at the end, but I found the composer thanks to ROM text. Some games with no composers still have a staff roll. KungFuFurby 07:35, 26 October 2008 (CDT)
Is that Hokuto no Ken V staff roll in Japanese? If so, just send screenshots or video this way. CRV 08:11, 27 October 2008 (CDT)
Sorry to keep bothering you with these, but I have some more requests. First of all, there's SFC Thunderbirds, which again might be too involved a game to get through. Then I was looking through SNESmusic.org and found:
  • Keiba Yosou: Baken Renkinjutsu (the composer is Don, who turns up on Copya System stuff)
  • Oraga Land Shusai: Best Farmer Senyuken (Graphic Research at least did the sound)
"ita" worked on both sets, so maybe he or she has the credits. Again, I don't expect anybody to actually play those games, but I would just like to put them out there for anybody else who might be reading this. CRV 00:55, 28 October 2008 (CDT)
No-go on Keiba Yosou: Baken Renkinjutsu. I do not know how to get the staff roll... Try to do a code comparison. I can do the other game, provided I get into it... Oh, and the Hokuto no Ken 5 staff roll is in English. KungFuFurby 18:35, 28 October 2008 (CDT)
By the way, does the title screen screenshot for Janyuuki Gokuu Randa give any clues for a possible developer? I had SOL in mind based on ROM text... and code comparisons would also help between this and the other two SOL games.
Title screen just mentions Virgin. And whoops...when I saw Hokuto no Ken 5, I was thinking 6. I already have the credits for 5. Sorry about that. CRV 22:08, 28 October 2008 (CDT)
Weren't you the one that discovered Team Mental Care? Do you have the credits to SFC Bastard!? CRV 22:13, 28 October 2008 (CDT)
Judging from my examining it, the staff roll was not found from "Baken Renkinjutsu" and "Best Farmer Shukakusai". Those who composed information referred to Here and Here. --Ita 02:36, 29 October 2008 (CDT)
Welcome, Ita! Thanks for the links and the credits! CRV 02:55, 29 October 2008 (CDT)
The staff roll for Bastard!! is on VGMuseum already... enjoy! Team Mental Care is under Program.
Has anyone checked out the Tsuri Taro playthrough video parts 1 and 2 on NicoVideo? I would like to know how the player got the ending... if the player beat that game. If the reason was catching one type of each fish (there is a grand total of 15), then boy is this going to get tricky... if it requires a certain amount of "energy" (the number to the right), then that's easy for me to do... ^_^ Oh, and yes, I have yet to register, to be honest... KungFuFurby 19:28, 9 November 2008 (CST)
Actually, there's 17 parts, and I'm not sure if the person actually beat the game. They have moved on to Fune Tarou. To watch video on Nico Nico without registering, use this address: http://d.hatena.ne.jp/video/niconico/[insert video number "sm..."]. If you want to register, use this guide. CRV 02:48, 10 November 2008 (CST)
I just beat the game myself... and there is no staff roll. KungFuFurby 14:46, 10 November 2008 (CST)
Ah, here's another for you. SFC Date Kimiko no Virtual Tennis... CRV 07:25, 15 November 2008 (CST)
Got some news. Beat Eien no Filerna (SFC) and got an acutal mention on the developer in Japanese... at least that's what I think. Support developer (via sound programming) is Zener Works.
Developer Screenshot 1
Developer Screenshot 2 (could be planning/production)
Proof of Zener Works' involvement
So is that good enough proof? If it is, may I have the name of the developer in English?
In other news: Will check that tennis game sometime. KungFuFurby 14:38, 17 November 2008 (CST)
First screenshot mentions Takeshi Shudo and Tokuma Shoten Intermedia. Second mentions Tokuma Shoten Intermedia. CRV 22:42, 17 November 2008 (CST)
In that case, I'll go for the Staff Roll... it appears to be internally developed if that's the case with some outside involvment. KungFuFurby 14:02, 18 November 2008 (CST)
Might there be involvement from Koga Game Factory? They were a studio run by Tokuma Shoten Intermedia from about 1993-2000. Probably unlikely, but...it's a lead? --Dimitri 02:40, 20 November 2008 (CST)
In order for that to be confirmed, we have to use the Shared Credits method... and I usually only get involved with SNES/SFC games when it comes to staff rolls. KungFuFurby 16:18, 20 November 2008 (CST)
1. Not sure if this will be any help, but here's a Japanese site with SFC Pro Action Replay codes. [1] 2. Looks to me like "Filerna" was done at Tokuma Shoten. Some of these names turn up on Janken Disk Shiro: Famimaga Disk Vol. 6 (FDS). 3. Another game I want to throw out there: Ippatsu Gyakuten: Keiba Keirin Kyoutei (SFC). CRV 08:09, 19 November 2008 (CST)
Games like Ippatsu Gyakuten: Keiba Keirin Kyoutei would probably be better off with ita... it's easy to get lost in those games without knowing what to do. Unless someone would like to offer some assistance gameplay-wise on how to beat the game... I've done my cheat code for infinite GP, so that's taken care of. KungFuFurby 09:50, 27 November 2008 (CST)
I have a question for Kevin Seghetti. Who did the sound for the SNES version of Ballz 3D? KungFuFurby 18:01, 28 November 2008 (CST)
Ooh! I know which Eleca game you should look up. You can get it direct with ROM text. The game is Dynamic Baseball for the SNES/SFC. Enjoy! KungFuFurby 20:39, 29 November 2008 (CST)
We got the credits to Dynamic Stadium a long time ago. They're really of no use until we get the credits from Ippatsu Gyakuten. CRV 23:12, 29 November 2008 (CST)
The staff roll of Ippatsu Gyakuten was written in Credit Dump. --Ita 06:14, 1 December 2008 (CST)
Thank you for all those credits. CRV 06:26, 1 December 2008 (CST)
OK, it's offical. Kamen Rider SD has no staff roll, even at the hardest mode. How dissapointing... but feel free to do code comparisons. Any other SOL games? Yuujin no Furi Furi Girls is most likely not going to have a staff roll... and Janyuuki Gokuu Randa has no staff roll. Do you think those three have the same unknown developer? KungFuFurby 15:19, 3 December 2008 (CST)
Possibly... CRV 07:41, 4 December 2008 (CST)
Please let Kevin Segetti know that I found the ROM text for the audio driver. Here's the text:
SLICK/Audio v1.01 Copyright(C)1994 Bitmasters,Inc.
Now to see if he recalls the composer based off of this info... Hey, I heard he was looking for the name of the audio driver, so I found it in ASCII. KungFuFurby 16:26, 4 December 2008 (CST) Another SOL game found via the ROM text method! This is another POW game. It's Hisshou Pachi-Slot Fan... and there is a staff roll! ^_^ It's mostly in English. With cheat codes (1 day left and a bunch of Gs) and a bit of shopping (four items, which you don't have to do travelling for), you can get the best ending. The best ending leads to the staff roll. If you do a code comparison with the other three games with the SOL sound drivers in them, perhaps we could make a SOL entry with three of the games in red? The three games in red would be Yuujin no Furi Furi Girls, Kamen Rider SD, and Janyuuki Gokuu Randa, all three missing staff rolls, with two of them confirmed. KungFuFurby 20:43, 5 December 2008 (CST) Staff Roll is up on YouTube as a full ending video. KungFuFurby 04:47, 6 December 2008 (CST)
Found a partial list of games by Tomoyuki Hamada, none SFC games... Tomoyuki Hamada was involved with T's Music, so perhaps we should use that plus the SNES/SFC games that he's credited for on SNESMusic.org to make a T's Music page here?
More games to look at, mayhaps? Super Fishing: Big Fight (SFC), Super Jinsei Game (SFC) CRV 08:21, 15 December 2008 (CST)
I actually have a game that I'm currently collecting the staff roll for in Japanese. The game is Wedding Peach (SFC)... I'll show it to you sometime once I can get that covered.
Oh, and Mr. Bloopy (unreleased) appears to have been developed by Rare, and would have been published by Compedia... whatever Compedia is... KungFuFurby 17:37, 16 December 2008 (CST)
You're not the first to note the Rare thing. [2] CRV 05:52, 17 December 2008 (CST)
This is Compedia. CRV 06:28, 17 December 2008 (CST)
Staff roll for Wedding Peach has been uploaded.
By the way, who in the world was involved with Super Full Metal for the SNES/SFC? The game has a Swedish and Italian version, and I do not have a staff roll for this game. If you were to play through the game, once the results came up and you pressed a button, you'd get a simple "The End" card... how dissapointing. That's not guaranteed: I did it with all CPUs. KungFuFurby 16:32, 19 December 2008 (CST)
Tommy Tallarico, a video game composer, stopped by YouTube. Guess what he said?
Nu Romantic Productions was Mark Miller. He also did great stuff like Toe Jam & Earl.
The video he posted on was Color-A-Dinosaur for YouTube. Here's his profile. Would you like to interview him sometime via YouTube or some other way? KungFuFurby 14:52, 5 January 2009 (CST)
I had wanted to know about Nu Romantic, but I don't really have anything to ask him. I'm sure he's a busy man. CRV 08:23, 6 January 2009 (CST)
Will try to see if he has more info. If he does, I'll post it here. ^_^ KungFuFurby 16:54, 6 January 2009 (CST)
Well, don't harass the man. CRV 08:23, 7 January 2009 (CST)
OK. ^_^ KungFuFurby 09:05, 7 January 2009 (CST)
Kinda old, but this interview with Sega-16 might be worth reading. CRV 04:03, 8 January 2009 (CST)
Found the offical site for Tom Create if you want to contact them and ask who did the programming for each of the games... and I have some info. I found some text that was in the ROM files, which transferred to the SPC files. The text is...
# BAD32
I found this piece of text in Ginga Sengoku Gunyuuden Rai, SD Gundam Power Formation Puzzle, and Wrecking Crew '98 so far. I'm assuming that this is a sound driver that has been used by at least Takane Ohkubo... AKA Beat Maniac. Maybe you could find this piece of text in other games with sound by Takane Ohkubo? KungFuFurby 14:04, 17 January 2009 (CST)
Ken'ichi Tanuma is listed as the composer for Numbers Paradise, for which you did the SPC set. Did that have credits? I have a feeling Cream might have done it (or Digitalware by that point). CRV 08:45, 24 January 2009 (CST)
Lucky for you I already had the staff roll. OK, here it comes! ^_^ KungFuFurby 20:53, 24 January 2009 (CST)
Triad's work page has been found, listing games that the company has developed. ^_^ Triad had an actual mention on Heisei Gunjin Shougi (SFC) already, which is what got me curious. I have the staff roll for Heisei Gunjin Shougi in Japanese if you want it. KungFuFurby 07:50, 28 January 2009 (CST)
Any staff rolls would be appreciated. CRV 00:31, 29 January 2009 (CST)
I believe I've found Toshiyuki Takine's work list online. ^_^ Would you like to try to interview him sometime to see if he worked with Home Data on the games he did music for? I believe he had a connection with Home Data, Eurythm, or Magical. KungFuFurby 21:24, 30 January 2009 (CST)
!!?? I found something really unusual! Look at what is in Super Baken Ou '95!
SUPER AIRDIVER 2
That is an instant red light, as the game is most likely hacked or heavily modified from another. Thus, the most likely developer is Copya System. KungFuFurby 19:45, 22 February 2009 (CST)
Now Production was involved with the Sound Driver on Super Mahjong 2 - Honkaku 4 Nin Uchi! Here's the ROM text:
Copyright 1992,93 now production  Created by SENKAN Kiyoshi
Wasn't J.League Excite Stage '94 the version that was localized as Capcom's Soccer Shootout? You seem to have forgotten to put that on the Triad page... KungFuFurby 12:50, 26 February 2009 (CST)
J.League Super Soccer got localized as Virtual Soccer in the US. The reason why I know this is because there's at least one matching piece of music between both versions. Also, Super Power League 2 was localized in the US as Sporting News Baseball, The. How do I know this one? The main menu music is shared. ^_^ KungFuFurby 12:55, 26 February 2009 (CST)
Could Super Mahjong 3 be internally developed? If you look in the ROM, you'll see IMAX at least 2 times... however, because I don't have a staff roll yet, I cannot confirm this game yet.
In other news, Barbarossa, developed by SPS, has no staff roll. I recently accessed the ending, and it has text with a background picture... but the text goes away, and there is no staff roll, not even in Japanese. I have a video to prove it if you need it... Mega-Lo-Mania has a staff roll, but I have not beaten the game. However, there is a staff roll on the FAQ for the SNES version on GameFAQs. SPS's offical website has a work list if you want to make a page on GDRI. KungFuFurby 21:27, 26 February 2009 (CST)
There are quite a few actual mentions for Natsu System on title screens for SFC games that Hect published. Here's the list:
  • Shougi Club (with Arc! That's a first. Too bad I have not found the staff roll to prove which company did what.)
  • Shin Shougi Club
  • Mahjong Club
  • Katou Ichi-Ni-San Kudan Shougi Club
Since I have no staff roll for any of these, Shougi Club should be in red... most likely. The others are also missing staff rolls at this time. Mahjong Club I have confirmed to be missing a staff roll, none of the Shougi Club games I have "beat". These games are very short, only containing a few modes, and in Mahjong Club's case, there's only a one-game mode, some other mode, and nothing else! >_< These also appear to have only one or two tracks that I've found so far as far as sound goes. Mahjong Club is confirmed to have two... the in-game stuff for all of these games execpt for Shougi Club is silent. Shougi Club reuses the Title Screen tune. I consider it ironic that we finally got Arc for a developer, but it's too bad I have yet to locate a staff roll, if at all... KungFuFurby 10:24, 27 February 2009 (CST)
Found a work list for Bit Town. Here is the page. I actually think this could mean Bit Town developed the games listed... ^_^ KungFuFurby 18:04, 27 February 2009 (CST)
Found another work list, this time for Multimedia Intellegence Transfer Co., LTD, or MIT. See this page in Japanese for the work list. This acutally mentions SFC Yamato Takeru on one of the games... KungFuFurby 21:15, 19 March 2009 (CDT)
Went to Bothtec's website and they are offically down. It appears to have happened May 1, 2009. KungFuFurby 13:13, 15 May 2009 (CDT)
Shinseiki GPX Cyber Formula has been done by someone else on NicoVideo. Therefore, I have grabbed the staff roll using that video. I myself made it to the very last race... but for some odd reason the cheat codes finally faltered. I am working on trying to get it so that I can continue to the ending myself...
On a misc. note, I beat an ASCII game in which I suspect was internally developed. See Credits Dump, and compare this to Down The World. KungFuFurby 11:15, 17 May 2009 (CDT)
I found something in Table Game Daishuugou! (SFC) The name Tomonobu Masumoto has turned up in the ROM via ROM text. I also found "SDCSIL V1.00" in the ROM as well. Does the name "Tomonobu Masumoto" ring a bell for you? ^_^ KungFuFurby 19:37, 17 June 2009 (CDT)
Unfortunately, no. CRV 08:45, 18 June 2009 (CDT)
Actually, there was a "Toughness Matsumoto" or "T. Matsumoto" that worked in a sound capacity on some Varie games. CRV 08:48, 18 June 2009 (CDT)
Hold the phone... T. Matsumoto was the composer of Eliminate Down for the Genesis. However, the missing staff roll for Super F1 Hero defeats this purpouse, and the other F1 Hero that Aprinet was involved in... well, that's a Genesis game, and I usually don't try to go through Genesis games. Maybe there's a staff roll in that game? KungFuFurby 09:30, 18 June 2009 (CDT)
Staff roll is here. The sound programmer on F-1 Super License (MD) is Tatsuya Matsumoto. CRV 04:35, 19 June 2009 (CDT)
Thanks! I wonder if Junji Takahashi worked on Pachinko Fan 2? I uploaded the staff roll in Japanese on YouTube if you want to give it a shot for translation... and shared credits. You can find the link in the Credits Dump. So far, apparantley Aprinet seemed to exist only in late 1992-mid 1993, with Super F1 Hero and F1 Super License being developed at nearly the same time. Oh, and congratulations on confirming that Arc was a developer for Gaia Savior! I guess the graphic designers pretty much gave it away once they were found in other games. KungFuFurby 10:37, 19 June 2009 (CDT)
When there are games I am suspicious that OeRSTED did the sound driver for, I can usually invent a music modifier quite easily. So far, I've seem to have found a music modifier for the following games, making me think these are OeRSTED games via the sound drivers. I have one staff roll in Japanese: Pachinko Fan 2 by Planning Office WADA. It is in Japanese, though. One of the programmers is J. Takahashi, who should have a full name in the staff roll. I though Super F1 Hero might have an OeRSTED sound driver, but I hit a bump. When making the music modifier (turns out it went by the tune IDs in the sound test), the only thing it modified oddly enough were the samples used. Thus, I am ruling out Super F1 Hero as a game that OeRSTED may have had sound driver involvement... for the moment. They were involved in the sequel, F1 Hero '94, as they have an actual mention in the staff roll. KungFuFurby 09:30, 18 June 2009 (CDT)
Here's Hirofumi Hattori. He worked on Go Go Ackman (SFC), Battle Pinball (SFC), and The Open Golf (PS) at Banpresto. He started there on April 1, 1994, and left on April 20, 1998. CRV 07:46, 25 June 2009 (CDT)
Nice info. I think I know his alternative idenity: Avrton Hattori. He was an assistant programmer for Battle Pinball, and a programmer for Go Go Ackman. I can see why those two might be internal development... maybe. KungFuFurby 10:20, 25 June 2009 (CDT)
You might want to look into Super Indy Champ. It appears to share staff with Spark World. [3] CRV 08:31, 6 July 2009 (CDT)
Lucky for you I already beat the game, so the staff roll has been inserted into the credits dump! ^_^ There is no staff roll for Finalset Tennis, though. KungFuFurby 11:37, 6 July 2009 (CDT)
Thank you. CRV 07:53, 8 July 2009 (CDT)
Got another Masakatsu Maekawa mention, and it's for Super Mahjong 3. Search for Kiyoshi and you get...
(C)SENKAN Kiyoshi
I think I found another possible Now Production involvement... the game was made in 1994. However, it has mentions of IMAX in there as well via ROM text, so who knows what happened? I haven't gotten to the staff roll if there is one. KungFuFurby 14:25, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
One of your games that you have a staff roll for may have been developed by Khaos. Mizuki Shigeru no Youkai Hyakkiyakou for the SFC, for which you have the staff roll in one of your text files, has Kazuo Yagi as the main programmer. The game was made in 1995. KungFuFurby 02:42, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Noticed it. Don't know if Khaos was involved. CRV 07:07, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Er... maybe Khaos and Amble were together on this one? Takako Nakamura is also found in the staff roll under Designer, and you have this person listed as working for Amble. However, everyone else, or at least nearly everyone else, is unknown. KungFuFurby 15:08, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Beat Kamen Rider for the SFC today on Hard mode, and got a cast roll. I unexpededtly found the staff roll in the ROM text, though. Will bring it to you. KungFuFurby 23:41, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon has an opening staff roll. All you have to do is wait at the Title Screen. There is no ending staff roll, though. KungFuFurby 02:32, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
They're not really development credits, though. CRV 06:08, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
I've got a question for you. Before Hiroyuki Sonobe founded Parity Bit, did Hiroyuki Sonobe work for ASCII in general? The staff roll for all three SFC Derby Stallion games (none of them have involvement from Parity Bit because all of them were done before the company was formed) have shared programmers with Down the World, thus it is possible that the original Derby Stallion series for SFC was developed by ASCII. The staff roll for all three games can be found here for Derby Stallion 2, here for Derby Stallion 3, and here for Derby Stallion '96. KungFuFurby 23:30, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
It certainly looks like he worked for ASCII. [4] CRV 07:33, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
I'm working on finding staff rolls for your GDRI-009 games. I have good news and I have bad news. The good news is that I currently have a staff roll for two of the games... Tekkyuu Fight!: The Great Battle Gaiden in English, and Makaimura Gaiden in Japanese, both from NicoVideo. I attempted to look for Tenchi o Kurau for GB and got the staff roll for Tenchi o Kurau 2 for the FC instead in Japanese, which is a game you don't have a developer for. The bad news is that Miracle Adventures of Esparks has no staff roll from the gameplay videos that I've seen... All of the games you listed, according to GMCL, has music by Norihiko Togashi. KungFuFurby 00:46, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
KungFuFurby, are you deleting the stuff on this page, or is it some vandal/spambot? CRV 06:19, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
This is the work of a vandal... or vandals/spambots. I do not delete stuff on this page. KungFuFurby 20:05, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
Bad news. Mr. Chin's Gourmet Paradise for the GB appears to be infinite looping. 8 stages and you go back to the first. KungFuFurby 17:16, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
If I get to Fire Pro Joshi: All Star Dream Slam, I'll make note that I saw a preview that hints that there are shared credits with Ultra Seven... see this picture to see what I mean. KungFuFurby 23:53, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
Decided to see what other games were tagged with "ノバ", which was Nova. I got these two that were not on the list:
Sandra no Daibouken: Valkyrie to no Deai (SFC)
A FC game from this collection of endings. I'm assuming it is Zoids: Mokushiroku, because the other two games are developed by Micronics, and this collection features only FC Zoids games.
To me, Sandra no Daibouken: Valkyrie to no Deai has shared credits with Super Wagyan Land... KungFuFurby 23:06, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
Guess what? I think American Battle Dome was developed by Betop! I don't have a staff roll, but what I do have is ROM text comparisons. I found "Version 004.191995.04.14" in Super Keirin, "Version 002.851995.09.29" in Ball Bullet Gun, and I found "Version 000.001995.04.01" in American Battle Dome. To me, that comparison makes me think American Battle Dome is a Betop game. KungFuFurby 00:41, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
Tenchi o Kurau for GB has its ending up... there does not appear to be a staff roll. That leaves Otogi Banashi Taisen for a possible staff roll... if that doesn't come up, than those code comparisons are the only way those link together, and my guess for GDRI-009, based off of the only staff roll that I found, is Nova. KungFuFurby 22:37, 31 March 2010 (UTC) No staff roll for Otogi Banashi Taisen. The only game in your code comparison that came up with a staff roll was Tekkyuu Fight!: The Great Battle Gaiden. The rest had no staff roll... Thus, my guess for GDRI-009 is Nova based on shared credits from the one game, and the others are probably by Nova from a code comparison. KungFuFurby 16:19, 31 May 2010 (UTC) Hey, CRV! I came up with an ingenius way for finding possible developers. Simply look up the error screens when you try to play a NTSC game (AKA the Japanese version) on the PAL via emulator. I scored big! I got the following SFC games with matching error screens:
  • Great Battle 4
  • Crayon Shin-chan (same thing, different background and text colors, and with "BANDAI added to it")
  • Crayon Shin-chan 2
  • Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba
This makes these four possible Nova games... and all of them are going to have some trouble. Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba and the Great Battle 4 have no staff rolls, and the other two probably have no development credits. I also found shared error screens with these games:
  • American Battle Dome
  • Super Keirin
  • Super Pachinko
That makes American Battle Dome a very likely Betop canidate... first ROM text, and now a shared error screen, despite no staff roll! My error screen hunting appears to work only on games that are released later than 1993, and it doesn't work on all games. I'll continute hunting for error screens and comparing them. KungFuFurby 23:27, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
I think that the above-mentioned four titles are "Sun.L(San.L)" relations. --Ita 12:47, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Great Battle 4 shares a font with Great Battle 3, Great Battle 5, Kamen Rider, and Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba... plus, I don't know how Sun.L would have been involved yet... KungFuFurby 16:40, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
At least, "Crayon Shin-can 1 and 2, Kamen Rider" is Sun.L >Tetsuji Iwasaki-Japan|LinkedIn .
Very nice find! I'll add Battle Dodgeball (GB), SD The Great Battle (SFC), Genki Bakuhatsu Ganbaruga (GB) and Cult Jump (GB) to the Sun.L list as well as the above games. Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba and Great Battle 4 are getting marked in red because I don't know who programmed those games... now I'm more confident that Sun.L probably had involvement. KungFuFurby 20:09, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
Moreover, the following titles were corresponding to the error screen of American Battle Dome.
  • Dokapon 3-2-1
  • Kessen Dokapon 4
--Ita 12:17, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
Beat the original Honke Sankyo Fever (SFC) only to get a slap in the face with no development credits. The "staff roll" contained the executive producers, then the producers, and then went to "Produced by Sankyo" and a repeat of the Title Screen's copywrites. Thus, my suspicion is Japan Vistec for the developer, since that's the only one that isn't a publisher or a machine producer. There's another company mentioned called T.E.N next to Sankyo, but I have no idea what the role in that one was. KungFuFurby 18:38, 25 November 2010 (CST)
Found ROM text in a very obscure game: Laser Birdie - Get in the Hole. I think this is developer info. Here's what it says...
CONDITION CORRUPTED
CONTACT BITS LAB
Bits Laboratory made the game, I presume? KungFuFurby 22:24, 25 June 2011 (CDT)
If you're ever bored, perhaps you (or someone else out there?) could compile a list of Super NES games with the Chip Level Designs and SLICK/Audio sound drivers? CRV 08:56, 11 July 2011 (CDT)
Believe it or not, I've already got something like that up and running, though I usually don't keep track. I have a few sound drivers that I have detemined are shared. The sound drivers that I have are (usually based off of ROM text)...
  • Peter Stone/Tengen/Mindscape (Dimitri gets special thanks... I eventually determined that all of the games that I looked up with this sound driver had the exact same code on the first hit or near the first hit for 8D 40 21. That code is A9 56 8D 40 21.)
  • Koji Hayashi (Not all games have this sort of method, but the method to play SFX and music is always divisible by 02.)
  • DBOOT ver x (This one uses a system of commanda that seem to almost always match. A9 13 A0 xx is usually a playback command that automatically handles any banks as well.)
  • SDCSIL v x (Only found in a single game. I eventually determined it was a sound driver text because it was near a collection of arrays of tune IDs (and samples?) to load.)
  • Masakatsu Maekawa/Music Worx
  • Senkan Kiyoshi (Now Production)
  • *Ver Sx*
If you can get me a SNES sound driver list up and running, I'll start with these seven sound drivers. KungFuFurby 11:41, 11 July 2011 (CDT)
Here you go. CRV 12:08, 11 July 2011 (CDT)
The reason why I had DBOOT in there originally is because DBOOT basically handles all sorts of commands that lead right to the sound. DB(?) SQ(?) also does the same thing, but with an author. Plus, here's what I found in Mizuki Shigeru no Youkai Hyakkiyakou, which has DB(?)/SQ(?), followed by DBOOT in the ROM text:
XXX Driver.DB(1.23) SQ(1.28)
END OF DBOOT.ASM
My definition of sound driver may be a bit mis-defined, though... at least on my end. However, I usually end up finding shared methods for handling loading tunes and other commands. Sometimes the ROM text goes right in the SPC file if you dump one, sometimes it doesn't. KungFuFurby 12:19, 13 July 2011 (CDT)
Looky what I found for Asahi Shinbun Rensai - Katou Ichi-Ni-San Shougi - Shingiryuu!
(c)1994 HECT
That right there tells me Hect was involved in the development for this game, published by Varie. However, the staff roll is missing. KungFuFurby 16:21, 18 January 2012 (CST)
I have reason to believe that once again Honke Sankyo Fever - Jikkyou Simulation is by Metro... I have found a debug menu, and a sound test with a graphic from Dharma Dojo. Here are two PAR codes to access a debug menu...
80AE67xx
80AE69xx
Here are the list of possible values in order of 80AE67, 80AE69:
0B 00 - Game Select
0B 04 - PAL Error Screen
0C 00 - ROM Disp Utility
0C 02 - Sound Test
Interestingly, the ROM Disp Utility has a Space Invader graphic in it.
I have not been able to check the sequels yet, but sound-wise, they sound like Metro games. KungFuFurby (talk) 12:36, 2 January 2013 (CST)
On that note, someone needs to look at Telenet's pachinko games. Supposedly Technosoft did (some of?) those. CRV (talk) 16:56, 2 January 2013 (CST)
Hmm... I recall that the credits for the Telenet pachinko games can be found online via either ending videos or somewhere else. If my guess is correct, the path to victory is simply having lots of money. I checked the sequels for Honke Sankyo Fever - Jikkyou Simulation, and both of them have a nearly identical sound test menu to the original. I also found credits, but both of them have no development credits, despite being in English, and both have some matching graphics. KungFuFurby (talk) 17:30, 2 January 2013 (CST)
Hello there! Long time no see! I'm back here because I think there are three SFC games that I suspect have shared sound programming. This is helped by shared samples. The sound driver itself is used in a much wider variety of SFC games, but the way the sound driver is implemented seems to match (thus, I essentially did a code comparison). Here are the games...
- Shougi - Fuurinkazan (SFC)
- Naruhodo! The World (SFC)
- Burai - Hachigyoku no Yuushi Densetsu (SFC)
One of them has no credits to my knowledge. That's Shougi - Fuurinkazan. I haven't gone through the other two games, but I believe the other two have credits. One of them to my knowledge has it in Japanese. KungFuFurby (talk) 12:53, 7 August 2014 (CEST)
I think two FC/NES games have the same developer in theory: Insector X and Utsurun Desu. This is because both of them contain a hidden credit for Jouji Hirayama for Programming. This same person is credited on MobyGames in Lords of the Rising Sun for the TurboGrafx CD, also as a programmer (bonus points for matching Kanji with the credit in Utsurun Desu). Hmm... unfortunately, I don't know if this person worked for Aprinet, so I can't make that connection at the moment. KungFuFurby (talk) 04:17, 18 April 2015 (CEST)
Also, based off of shared credits for Esparks (SFC) and Super Castles (SFC), the same developer may have done both games. Super Castles in particular may have been in part developed by Nippon Bcom based off of a shared programmer, and the developer's name might be Techno Brain (from Super Castles, which credits Techno Brain for System Design... guessing that's a company name, but could be wrong.). KungFuFurby (talk) 04:17, 18 April 2015 (CEST)
I have a possible lead on Shin Togenkyo (SFC) for developer info. It's not Banpre Kikaku... instead, it's the other one. 軟件工房 is credited on the Title Screen and the box art. I ended up finding out that this is linked to Japan System Supply courtesy of a 5ch thread (the post number is 200): https://game10.5ch.net/test/read.cgi/ghard/1118541653/
If that's the case, then that also basically gives me my last non-N-SPC/Kankichi-kun-esque SNES/SFC sound driver an identification, as I otherwise had no company info to work off of. KungFuFurby (talk) 22:23, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
