Sega Electronics was a manufacturer and developer of arcade video games based in San Diego, California, United States.

Originally established in 1973 as Gremlin Industries, it was eventually acquired by Sega, and the "Sega/Gremlin" brand was introduced. Feeling the "combined name was awkward and confusing," the branding was dropped, and the company became Sega Electronics. [1]
