Salio Inc. (サリオ株式会社) was a company related to Tecmo. It was based in Azumabashi, Sumida City, Tokyo, in the same building that once housed Tehkan's head office (〒130 東京都墨田区吾妻橋2-1-13). [1] [2]

Salio was profiled in the December 1988 issue of PC Engine Fan magazine. At the time, its development staff consisted of seven people. [3]

Some staff were previously part of Mars (developer of Garfield no Isshuukan for the Famicom) and later went to Athena. Some other staff started Mint.

Salio was later renamed Kankyo Kagaku Co., Ltd. (環境科学株式会社) Kankyo Kagaku still exists and (as of March 31, 2022) has a 7.17% stake in Koei Tecmo Holdings. [4]
