Right Stuff Co., Ltd. (株式会社ライトスタッフ) was established February 27, 1990 by a team of former Glodia staff, including writer and game designer Atsushi "E.JUN" Ii (飯淳) and illustrator Akihiro Kimura (木村明広), as a development subsidiary of Pandora Box. The company was headed by Tetsuro Shima (島哲郎), who had previously worked with Pandora Box head Takeo Iijima at Brain Grey, and was based in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.

Due to disagreement between the two companies' management during the development of Alshark, Right Stuff broke away from Pandora Box and became an independent company in February 1991.

Atsushi Ii left the company in the mid-'90s to work freelance; he later started Pyramid in 2001 and Black Bandit Q in 2011. Akihiro Kimura has been working as a manga artist since Right Stuff closed down. Artist Rei Hiroe (広江礼威) worked at Right Stuff for a few years before leaving to become a manga artist; he is today best known for the manga and anime Black Lagoon.

Right Stuff declared bankruptcy on September 6, 1999.
