Originally called Whiteboard. Later became Santos. Became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sega called Megasoft in December 1991. [1] Megasoft was merged into Sega during the production of the two titles below.

The President of Megasoft assisted with the establishment of Treasure, which was in the same building.

It is possible that the ex-President of Santos, who was replaced by the aforementioned President of Megasoft at the time of the changeover from Santos to Megasoft, went off and started a new company with the Santos name (similar to the situation with Aicom). This other Santos published and developed the PlayStation shooters AirGrave and Stahlfeder: Tetsukou Hikuudan.

CRV's theory: Janshin Densetsu might have been developed by "the old" Santos but was cancelled. "The new" Santos (if it is indeed related to "the old" Santos) might have sold it to "the new" Aicom years later. "The new" Santos and "the new" Aicom clearly had a relationship - Aicom's Akio Inoue is the producer on "the new" Santos' Stahlfeder: Tetsukou Hikuudan (PS), and former "old" Aicom programmer "Terayan" mentions Santos in a post about Aicom.
