Lucciola Computer Entertainment Co. (有限会社ルシオラコンピュータエンタテイメント) (LCE) was based in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
LCE seems to have been preceded by an affiliate company of Square called Lucciola (株式会社ルシオラ) [1], which was established in June 1998 and based in the Arco Tower in Meguro City, Tokyo, along with other Square affiliates such as DreamFactory, and Light Weight, and Positron. The president was Kunihiko Nakata, formerly of Sega AM2, Namco, and Light Weight. [2] Lucciola was liquidated during the fiscal year ended March 31, 2000. [3] (Nakata is credited on the LCE-developed TV Kamishibai Vol. 1, so the two companies are definitely related. [4] Nakata later ran Craftex. [5])
