As part of the merger, Kaga Tech's "Entrust Business for Game Software Development" (as it is referred to in this press release) was expected to transfer to Digital Media Lab. This may be referring to the Osaka group because it looks some staff ended up over there [3], and Digital Media Lab is also based in Osaka.
