Michael Brook was a founder of EA Sports, Double Diamond Sports, and Spectacular Games.

GDRI: Could you give us some background information on Spectacular Games?

MB: Spectacular Games, Inc. was the developer of NFL 96 [Prime Time NFL Football Starring Deion Sanders] and NFL 98 Genesis for Sega Sports (there was no NFL 97; we were focused on the aborted 32X at the time), responsible for the design, art, sound, and programming of these titles, completed with a combination of in-house and out-of-house talent as per the credits in those titles.

GDRI: Was Spectacular Games formerly Double Diamond Sports?

MB: Double Diamond Sports is a separate legal entity than Spectacular Games, Inc. and was the developer of NFL '95 Genesis for Sega Sports, NBA Action '95 Genesis for Sega Sports, and NHL 95 Genesis for EA Sports. Virtually all of the personnel from Double Diamond moved on to Spectacular Games, with the notable exception of Double Diamond co-founder Mark Lesser. DDS was responsible for the design, art, sound, and programming of these titles, completed with a combination of in-house and out-of-house talent as per the credits in those titles.
