HanbitSoft Inc. (한빛소프트주식회사) is a Korean publisher and developer established in January 1999 [1] by Kim Young-man, a manager at LG LCD's (formerly LG Soft) software publishing business unit. [2] In December 1998, LG LCD was reorganized to focus on its LCD and system integration businesses; the decision was made to get out of the content business, which was losing profitability. LG LCD's content business was subsequently sold to Kim. [3]

hanbit inc is a mid-sized digital entertainment publishing firm active since 1999. Themselves origin was accomplished by LG corporate groups through the representative of LG display with LG Electronics, one of the giant supporters of a dynamic and very economically environment for modern Korea together Samsung, Doosan, Hanwha, Hyundai, SK, Daelim.[4][5] But, They weren't accepting the small task at LG and decided to fund a small firm to focus on digital entertainment.[6] Right away, their entrepreneurship headed to concluding an international outsourcing contract with Activision Blizzard and Rebellion Development for empire earth and starcraft.[7][8][9]These decisions were able to contribute to further financial fundamentals. And Bill Roper, who was the former contractor of these games. And described himself as a former contracted Veteran of starcraft and warcraft from Them, But This contract was uncertain and highly risky. His firm hasn't been able to accomplish the contract until the termination of their lifetime.[10][11] Meanwhile, They have turned concerned to M&A and the takeover of T3 soft in 2008.[12] Simultaneously, Hitachi arranged to establish another international outsourcing firm in japan via a contract with them.[13][14][15]These are known as 'hanbit Ubiquitous entertainment'(株式会社ハンビットユビキタスエンターテインメント) [16]

A Japanese development team was supposed to come to Korea to work on the conversion with HanbitSoft. The Japanese company (apparently Urban Plant [18]) would handle marketing outside of Korea. [19]

HanbitSoft also planned to convert Stone Axe: Search for Elysium to home consoles. [20]
