Glodia Co., Ltd. (株式会社グローディア) was started in 1986 by a group of Telenet Japan staff and headed by programmer Osamu Ikegame (池亀治). It was officially incorporated in 1990, and was based in the Suginami ward of Tokyo. The company appears to have closed down around 1995.

Mitsuru Takahashi (高橋充) left in 1989 to start Japan Art Media, while another group including Atsushi Ii (飯淳) and Akihiro Kimura (木村明広) left in 1990 to start a development division at Pandora Box, which later became Right Stuff. Programmer Takao Ike (池高生) started Zerosystem in 1995. Other notable staff included programmer Hiroyuki Kuwata (桑田浩之) and composer Nobuhito Koise (恋瀬信人).

Console conversions of Emerald Dragon also exist, but these were developed by Right Stuff and AlfaSystem, not by Glodia.
