Established August 1989 as simply Beyond, Yokohama, Japan-based Beyond Interactive, Inc. (ビヨンドインタラクティブ株式会社) is a video game development company that has also been involved heavily with localization. (Those products will not be listed here.) Company activity was suspended in August 1992 after founder and CEO Hitoshi Akashi was selected to help establish Electronic Arts Victor. Beyond was restarted in May 1996 after he left EAV.
