Meier left in 1996 to found Firaxis [3]. Around the same time, other MicroProse team members joined a new Electronic Arts studio in the area [4]. In 1998, MicroProse was acquired by Hasbro [5]. In 2000, Infogrames (later Atari) acquired Hasbro Interactive, including MicroProse [6]. Atari shut down the Hunt Valley studio in 2003 [7].
