Aicom logo

This entry is about the "original" Aicom. For the Aicom responsible for "Pulstar," see Yumekobo.

Aicom (株式会社エイコム) was originally established in the 1980s. It was acquired by Sammy [1] in 1990 and became a subsidiary called Nippon Aicom (株式会社日本エイコム). Nippon Aicom and another Sammy subsidiary, Japan Soft Technology, were merged into Sammy in 1992. [2]

The company name is alledgedly short for "Akio Inoue COMputer." (Akio Inoue was the president of Aicom.) [3]

Aicom may have originally been Exa Planning, but this has not been confirmed. Exa Planning games (Angel Kids and Pythagoras no Nazo) have been included below in red.

Cyclone System and C.P. Brain were both started by former Aicom staff.
