ADK Corporation (株式会社エーデイーケイ) was established in July 1980 as Alpha Denshi Co., Ltd. (アルファ電子株式会社). It changed names in 1992. Kazuo Arai (新井一夫) was the president. [1]

As of 2001, Kazuo Arai, SNK, Mitsui & Co., and CSK Electronics were stockholders. Miraisoft (有限会社未来ソフト) and Alphasoft (アルフアーソフト株式会社) were affiliate companies. [2]
